Civilization vi mods essential1/17/2024 Personally I would recommend Take Your Time Ultimate, which allows for a great degree of customization over tech and civic progression alongside era score and great people progression. Leugi has some really nice visual mods such as his unique district icons mod and the city styles pack which add so much more flavor to each civs visuals.Ī really popular type of mod is historical speed, which increases tech costs and progression while keeping production costs the same, makes warfare in each era more impactful and you can build a lot more things in each era. More importantly, it allows you to choose how many religions you want to allow when you're setting up your gameĪ lot of people have already mentioned UI mods or mods that don't do much for game-play so I'd like to recommend some more of those to you: Religion Expanded - Adds a bunch of new religious beliefs. Fun little trick: if you are lucky enough to spawn near and capture another civ's starting settler on the first turn before settling your first city, both settlers will get the movement bonuses One of the only gameplay mods I always use. Tomatekh's Historical Religions - Adds a bunch of religions to the gameįaster Starting Settlers - Gives your startling settler three movement, eliminates movement penalties, and gives you a seven tile sight radius from your starting location. Still way easier to find stuff to buy and sell though so it's a small price to pay Quick Deals - Makes trading with ai a lot faster, the only thing I don't like is that trading for open borders doesn't really work so you still have to do that the old fashioned way. Great Works Viewer - Makes the great works menu easier to navigate and makes it easier to theme your works Great mod if you're big into city planning Also lets you know if you can't place stuff like dams, which are extremely tricky.
